Plain-English policy

SaneVideo Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026.

The short version: Core recording, editing, captions, and export run on your Mac by default. SaneVideo does not upload your media to SaneApps for processing.

Local media

Recordings, imported media, editing projects, captions, Demo Packs, and exports remain on your Mac unless you deliberately move, sync, or upload those files yourself.

Permissions

SaneVideo requests Screen & System Audio Recording, Camera, Microphone, or Accessibility permission only when a feature needs it. macOS controls those permissions, and you can revoke them in System Settings.

Network use

SaneVideo can contact SaneApps services for app updates, direct-license validation, privacy-safe aggregate app counts, and support diagnostics you choose to send. Apple and StoreKit handle Mac App Store purchases and restore. Project sync is disabled in the current build, so SaneVideo does not access iCloud Drive. Optional third-party integrations use their respective services only when you configure and use them.

Publishing

SaneVideo exports local files for you to publish wherever you choose. Direct YouTube upload is not included in the current build.

Support

Support email includes only the information you choose to provide, such as your message, exact error text, or diagnostics you copy from the app. Contact hi@saneapps.com.
